More Than 13K Lose Power Across North Jersey As Storm Hits Friday
More than 13,000 New Jersey residents were without power Friday, Dec. 19, as a storm moved through the region as of 8 a.m., according to Jersey Central Power & Light and PSE&G.
Morris County reported the highest number of outages among JCP&L customers, with 4,795 affected Friday, the utility said. Mount Arlington had 2,483 customers without power, followed by Roxbury with 1,648 and Washington Township with 322.

State Of Emergency Declared In Five NJ Counties; 6 Inches Could Fall In Some Areas, NWS Says
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy has declared a State of Emergency beginning early Tuesday, Dec. 2, as a winter storm brings heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain across the northwestern counties.
The declaration takes effect at 5 a.m., and includes Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, and Warren counties, officials said.

More Winter Weather Alerts Issued In NJ, PA As Tuesday Storm Aims At Morning Commute
Winter weather alerts have been issued across North Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania ahead of Tuesday’s storm, which is expected to bring several inches of snow and slippery roads during the morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Sussex County, where 4 to 7 inches of snow and snowfall rates of up to 1 inch per hour are possible.
